Molded Plastic filters are made by injection with synthetic and metallic meshes, meshes are pre-fabricated into different shapes, sizes and put the fabricated mesh parts into mold cavity and injection machine closes and molten plastic will flow into cavity and cover filter mesh/screen and hardened plastic will be firmly connected with screen/filter.

Automotive filtration, PA66 is usually required due to its chemical stability and physical properties in resisting high temperature, abrasion. Other plastic polymers are also used to make filters for automotive filtration
